Made for overpronators seeking maximum support in a well-cushioned running shoe. Breathable four-way stretch mesh upper provides better fit, feel, and durability. Seamless overlay construction is strategically integrated in key areas to enhance its premium fit and feel. Guidance Trusstic™ is built with two trusses to enhance structural integrity and midfoot torsional rigidity. P.H.F.™ (Personal Heel Fit) holds the heel more securely and reduces the potential for friction. Rearfoot and forefoot GEL® Cushioning. Durable High Abrasion Rubber® (AHAR) heel, DuraSponge®. Kayano 19 is even more lightweight, while still providing excellent support and cushioning. Solid shoe.

I have tried to get used to these shoes. After two weeks I can no longer put up with the pain. This was my first pair of Asics, so maybe they were defective. I am returning them today.
Cons: poor arch support, uncomfortable, poor cushioning

Friends have been using the previous version for a long time, so I decided to take a chance and bought it as my first ASICS running shoes. Very happy with purchase, extremely light, cushioning is good, fits perfectly. Bought a couple for my wife and daughter after, as they were also impressed.

I have purchased a pair of the Gel Kayano's every year for the last 10 years therefore I absolutely love them. The Gel Kayano 19 are not as comfortable as they have been in the past. The sole is harder and less flexible. The arch support is not as good either. The fit is consistent, however I no longer look forward to putting them on to go for my daily walk. I never thought I would have to switch brands but I do not think I will buy the GK20 next year unless I try them on first.

Cons: poor arch support, uncomfortable, poor cushioning

I have size 16D feet and the Asics are the best at fitting my foot. Very comfortable and durable shoes!!

I have liked wearing Asics in the past, but have recently gravitated to other brands. Saw this featured in a running magazine, and it sounded like the shoe for me to try. I am thrilled with it. Fits me well. I am very picky about finding a shoe that feels right to me, and I hate shoe shopping then not finding what I like, so I may stock up on these. Problem solved.

I have been buying kayano trainers since I was diagnosed as an over pronator 11/12 years ago. All that time I thought I have been buying the same size but this time they feel slightly bigger than before. A great trainer; but watch the change in size if you have worn them before

This shoe is lighter and more comfortable than the higher end Kinsei and Kinetic. Very pleased!
