ASICS® Split Second 9 LE - Men's
The ASICS® Split Second® 9 weighs just 8.3 ounces, almost a full ounce lighter than last year's model. Continues to feature a classic split sole design that has made these wrestling shoes so popular. The split sole design features two separate sole components that operate independently, allowing for improved flexibility and natural foot movement on the mat, giving you the edge over the competition. The asymmetrical lacing design provides improved comfort by reducing irritation, while the integrated lace garage keeps laces secure as well as conforming to regulations. Wt. 8.3 oz.

the company reccoments to order a half size lager and i complied. when i tried the shoed on they felt fine, however after using the shoes my feet began to slide inside and jam my toes. now i have to wear mutiple pairs of socks in them to minimize the slipping. also the shoe lace covers are difficulet to use and will wear out very soon. shoes look worn after 2 workouts. cant wait a month to return and wait for replacements

I bought this for my son and he loves them. He says the fit is perfect and the shoes are his favorite so far. I am watching them for fraying, weakening of the soles, and wear and tear and so far they seem to be holding up (he uses them every day in practice for about 2 hours) and once a week for matches. He has had them for about 2 weeks and they broke in quickly.

Let's get to the most important part. This is a great wrestling shoe. . For a generation now, the Asics' Split Second series of wrestling shoes have been excellent. They fit like wrestling shoes need to fit, they're light, and they give great grip and flexibility. No matter what color you buy, these are great shoes.
Now onto the pink. It's awesome. The color just pops. My HWT got a pair of size 13's. Now I have a 6'4" 270lb beast that just goes out and rocks his pink shoes.

Pink is the new black...it is a high visibility glow to let Cancer know that it is not welcome on the mat...or anywhere else...You need leverage and support to square up....these shoes will be seen... I purchased them for my son who is a sophomore...

Always order wrestling shoes from Eastbay. The Asics brand wrestlingshoes seem to fit better and are more durable than the others.Ordered Adidas brand with zipper and Velcro and Velcro ripped after 1 month of training. Stick with Asics.

I purchased these shoes for my 12 year old son and he absolutley loves them....slightly narrow but great grip. they are super lightweight and we are very pleased

My son loves the Asics has gotten the same Asics Split second for 7 years in a row, this pair started having issues after two practices and were falling apart. Easbay is awsome and are replacing them due to the defects.
Pros: good grip, look cool

Recieved mine yesterday, and all the way from the post office I feared that they would be too small, or something like that. I had compared the size with a pair of Nike Air Max 360's I had in the same size, that are a good fit but not tight, and ordered the same for these since they were supposed to be 0.5 smaller than regular and I wanted them to hug my feet.
Luckily, they fit perfectly and they look really good - much better than on the pictures. The color is vivid, and they feel like a foot on your foot! Loving the sole...
Pros: comfortable, good grip, great looking

I'm a female coach and referee and have always had a pink whistle. Now I have the perfect shoes to match. In such a masculine sport, its nice to have a little femininity.

I honestly have to say I was hesitant to order my son pink shoes. He always tries to stand out and show his individuality and these shoes will definitely do the trick! I think they look much better in person than the pictures on the site. I typically go up a half size for his wrestling shoes but these are a full size over his everyday running shoes and fit perfectly. :-)
