The ASICS® GEL-Flashpoint volleyball shoe features a mesh and synthetic leather upper that is supportive, breathable, and lightweight. Rearfoot and forefoot GEL® Cushioning System attenuates shock during impact and toe-off phases and allows movement in multiple planes as the foot transitions through the gait cycle. Solyte midsole provides enhanced cushioning and durability. SpEVA midsole improves bounce-back characteristics and decreases midsole breakdown. Trusstic System® reduces the weight of the sole unit while retaining the structural integrity of the shoe. AHAR® rubber placed in critical areas of the outsole adds exceptional durability. NC Rubber® outsole offers enhanced traction on court systems. Wt. 11.0 oz.

The Flashpoint is a light weight shoe that works well on the squash court. The fit is fairly roomy which allows for insoles to be replaced without issue. The factory laces are long, and require a double knot if they are to be tightened properly. The shoe provides good grip and support for quick changes of direction and lunges into the corners. The big question mark is how they will hold up to the abuse of toe drags.
Pros: good traction, lightweight, comfortable

Last year I played volleyball in cross-training shoes. What a difference to go back to playing in shoes specifically designed for volleyball! These shoes fit great and maybe its just coincidence, but I played great in my first two games since wearing these shoes...

Very comfortable. Good grip. Looks cool.
Only problem for me was, since I wear a brace on my left foot, the brace did not fit well with the shoes and it hurt my foot. My right foot felt great though.
