The Nike Zoom Waffle Racer 9 racing flat is made for the cross country runner who needs a lightweight, breathable racing shoe, versatile for all surfaces. Thin hydrophobic mesh upper with graphic application allows breathability and optimal water shedding benefits. Compression-molded Flashlon midsole delivers a lightweight, responsive ride. Molded medial arch adds optimal midfoot support, without unnecessary weight. Classic Waffle® outsole with six durable rubber lugs and targeted flex grooves gives optimal traction over a variety of surfaces. Wt. 6.2 oz.

My children run track and I buy them a pair of Nike Zoom Racers every year. Remember they run small but they are supposed to be snug on feet. Very Lightweight.

I ordered these for my son who is new to XC, and I thought they had spikes but soon realized I had ordered the wrong ones, he decided to keep them and absolutely loves them. Today, however, during his race a sharp rock penetrated the bottom while he was running and by time the race was over it had punctured all the way through his shoe and sock! Despite this they are great shoes and he loves the bright colors!
Pros: lightweight, comfortable, breathable
Cons: thin soles
